Inauguration of “Cheyutha” COVID Isolation Centre

KEATS, in collaboration with Rachakonda Police Commissionerate and Rajha Convention Center, established the facility at Yapral in quick time – thanks to the financial support from KEATS USA. The facility has doctors, nursing and support staff, 30 beds, 5 with oxygen supply, an ambulance and has complied with ICMR guidelines. It was christened “Cheyutha” by Rachakonda CP Sri Mahesh Bhagawat, IPS.

The centre was inaugurated by Dr G Srinivas Rao, Director, Public Health, Govt of Telangana who also handed over two 10L oxygen concentrators. Sri Mahesh Bhagwat in his address was open to accommodate other frontline warriors at the centre. KEATS Chairman Sri D Giridhar briefed on the services rendered in the past and thanked all the donors for centre’s cause. Managing Trustee Sri YS Subrahmanyam informed that the inmates will be provided free nutritious food throughout the day. Sri G Sudheer Babu, ACP Rachakonda, Ms Rakshita Murty, DCP Malkajgiri and Sri Mallikarjun, DMHO Medchal assured necessary support and wished the centre would help in breaking the chain.

Tulasi Hospitals offered to provide emergency medical services. A brochure was released and all the collaborators including KEATS members were felicitated. The event was covered live and widely reported by the media.

 

 

It has been decided to close the Center wef 15th June as the cases are rapidly declining. CP Rachakonda issued “Certificates of Appreciation” for the Doctors, Nurses and supporting staff.
